MattFraddIf you’re like me, you’ve been in more than a few arguments over Facebook. And, if you’re like me, many of those arguments haven’t ended well.

So how do we argue well? And not just well but effectively?

I recently sat down with Brandon Vogt of Strange Notions.com, to discuss that very question.

I hope that our short exchange helps you to argue thoughtfully and charitably.

Topics Discussed:

1:08 – What is an argument and why is it valuable?
2:54 – What makes for a strong argument?
5:52 – What inviolable rules ground all fruitful dialogue?
8:08 – What is a fallacy and which are the most common today?
13:36 – What are the benefits and drawbacks of arguing online?
15:59 – How can Catholics and atheists at StrangeNotions.com argue better?

You can download the audio here, and get my new DVD here.

Great video. That’s a very concise presentation of good, cogent argumentation. I’m not sure that I really like the black and white categorization of Catholics and atheists that appears sometimes in this video. It makes it sound like this compiled “us” vs. “them” mentality. Other than that, another great contribution. Thanks.
